YOU make the season bright!

A holiday note from Toni

The holidays have always held a special place in my heart. Whether snow is on the ground or it’s a balmy December (like it seems to be lately), this time of year is magical. It’s full of craziness and tradition but also possibility — and the perfect time to reflect.

I didn’t intentionally set a theme for 2023, but if I had, it would most certainly have been GROWTH. Over the last year, we have accomplished so much at The Color Room because of YOU.

In July, we unveiled the 3rd expansion of our salon, retail space, and the spa and skin care center since opening our doors in 2013! I wanted the new space to have a romantic, airy vibe that feels relaxing and helps you forget about day-to-day dramas and BS when you walk through the doors. With the help of amazing companies like Amanda Ahrens of Double A Interiors and JP3 Kitchen and Bath in Wentzville, who was also an investor and co-inventor of the space, we pulled it off.

Serving our valuable guests better is what we always strive to do.

Although the new space gave The Color Room a facelift, it also helped us meet our growing team’s needs. When I opened The Color Room, I had two employees. Talk about a small business!

Today, the business employs 30 people. With 14 hair stations, five shampoo bowls, and five skincare rooms, the new space makes it easier and more efficient for the team to perform their jobs.

The reason we needed this space was to accommodate all our guests and pamper you the way you deserve to be pampered.

With full access to new talent through relationships with schools in the area, we continually fill scheduling gaps and have the ability to offer our guests a variety of stylists and skincare specialists to choose from to meet nearly every guest's budget.

My team is phenomenal.

A recurring compliment we get is how amazing our team members are — and I am so proud of the women on The Color Room’s team.

I’m so happy that when you walk into the salon and spa to receive a service or purchase a retail product, you’re greeted by people who genuinely care about your experience.

I’ve had a long career in the salon and spa industry. I’ve seen my fair share of unhappy workplaces. When I opened The Color Room, I vowed to do it differently because if the team’s unhappy, the guests are miserable.

Unlike other salons in the area, The Color Room contributes to employees’ retirement accounts and provides PTO for employees. It’s also important, as a conscientious business owner, that I provide work-life balance for everyone on my team — the mommas especially appreciate this!

You’re helping us manage inflation.

This year has been rough on all our bank accounts. Inflation and the rising cost of day-to-day expenses have hit everyone.

I feel very fortunate this year to have been able to contribute to our employees' financial health, their physical and mental well-being, and provide them with continual education to keep services fresh and still keep costs in check, even with rising manufacturer costs.

All of this is possible because of YOU. Your patronage of The Color Room, from scheduling hair and skincare services to purchasing retail products, has helped keep costs from rising out of control. Even with slight cost increases for services, you’ve continued to support this small business, and for that, I am forever grateful.

My wish for you this holiday season and for the new year ahead is for you to live your best, most beautiful life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and love of The Color Room.

Happy Holidays. May 2024 bring you many blessings!

Much love,

Toni
